[ blue does suit her. it always has. this particular shade of blue - science blue - is especially becoming but that's really because she is especially happy to replace the ship's former stellar cartographer.

she can just make out the blue of her now discarded dress draped over the mirror's edge from where she sits perched on his lap. he's not her boyfriend - he is pretty much her boyfriend. either way, it's clear that she missed him terribly and is quite grateful no one's suspected her instant post on the enterprise.

her little whimpers are loud enough for only him to hear, encouraging him to make that mark that no one else can see. okay, she's always been someone who plays by the rules but not even elsa can deny that she likes this secrecy. it's fun. it makes every stolen moment with him all the more delicious.

her hand in his hair slides down to his neck and she holds him there, tilting her chin up for easier access.

This will - this is already messy.

[ she has known, since they first met, what she had signed up for and the difficulties of being with the captain of a starship, especially this captain. she has known all this, which is why she doesn't tell him that she has been faithful to him the entire time they have been seeing each other. there have been few dates here and there, sure, but nothing really compares to this.

but elsa has always been, at least in her opinion, very good at concealing how she feels. it's easy to confuse the fond and familiar look she gives him as a sign of friendship.

to let go of that restraint is good, especially when she intends on making up for lost time while they still have it, before the mission takes a turn for the more exciting.
] I'd have to disagree, [ she laughs softly, her giggles dissolving into a moan as she pulls her shoulder up as a weak defense against his affections. ]

[ while there is no denying that growing up in the public eye is no easy task, coming from old money. with this comes rather aimless ambition, the knowledge that she does not need to work very hard to claim what has always been hers to begin with. it is because of this that, before she turns the desired age as designated in her late parents' will, she has jettisoned into space in order to make something of herself.

it also helps that someone else she cares about very deeply is there too.

she laughs softly into each kiss, pushing her fingers through short, wet hair to curve her hand around the back of his head. few boss her around, but she will allow it. (well, she has to, no longer ruling over her own domain here.)
] I am merely making a suggestion, Captain.

[ they are so very different. she has known him to be brash and quick thinking and restless while she is focused, slow to act, and introverted. but the parts of them that do intersect — and there are more than one might initially anticipate — are just as important. she likes being with him, as further evidences by the way she moves in his lap and lets the mess happen around the tub and the way she tips his head back to claim a deeper kiss. she likes him enough not to tell him that she may even love him too. ]

Uh-huh –

[ the weight of his hand on her hip presses her into his lap. gasping, she flings one hand out to grab the edge of the tub, finding some leverage to return the favor, seeking a little more friction and a little more wave-making while they've got each other like this. funnily symbolic, she thinks, breaking the dry spell with some tub action.

she's calling him captain but she's also very much enjoying being a head taller them him from where she's perched, thinking that she might have the upper hand in at least controlling the pace and going excruciatingly slow in return.
